The Cafe at Christopher's is a critical part of our high end artisan bakery, deli and cafe serving North Dulwich with products of distinction. The work is daytime only 7/8am to 3/4pm (no evenings/nights), Wednesday to Sunday inclusive and the successful candidate will be responsible for the running of the kitchen.
• We are looking for a full-time Chef to build on our small range of outstanding dishes.
• Whilst being known for making great bread, pastries, quiches and coffee we have an ambition to be more of a destination for breakfast, lunch and tea time meals.
• We have discerning customers who quite rightly expect everything from a simple piece of toast to a mushroom and chestnut velouté to be exceptional. In fact, if it isn’t we don’t want to sell it.
• This is a very hands on role, but with the freedom to develop our classic based menu and liaise with suppliers.
• We are looking for someone who is well organised, calm under pressure, with appropriate food hygiene qualifications and professional commercial kitchen experience. Additionally, who can co-ordinate/coach people to provide holiday cover.
• A good command of English is essential, as is the right to live and work in the UK.
