Merchant The Merchant is Canary Wharf's most exciting destination for dinner and drinks and will be a hive of activity, playing host to regular beer tasting sessions and mixology classes. The Merchant offers a stunning array of craft Beers, real Ales, seasonal cocktails and inventive fresh food with a great breakfast offer, serving a range of tasty dishes as well as freshly squeezed juices. We are the go to place for after work drinks in Canary Wharf and host private events in our numerous pre bookable spaces. Merchant The Merchant is a newly refurbished craft house and kitchen situated right on the water in stunning Canary Wharf. Our ideal team member would have bags of personality and know how to keep the guests giggling. We may be in the Wharf but our customers choose us for our more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, so being yourself is what it’s all about. Craft beer passion is a plus but don’t worry if you’re a novice as our team will keep you up to speed. We also regularly visit breweries to meet the makers and top up your knowledge. We can get very busy during the week but if you’re willing to work hard in a fun team then The Merchant is the place for you. Could you set the mood of the pub?
If the staff behind our bar are the hosts of the party, then your role as Bar Supervisor is to oversee the action - keeping the energy high, the drinks flowing and the guests happy.
You’ll still be out on the front lines, serving customers and working the bar, but you’ll have one eye on the team too. By passing on your wisdom and experience, you’ll play a key role in keeping our service levels high.
