Job Specification
As Assistant Manager you will play a crucial role liaising with customers to understand their needs and help manage the entire manufacturing process from start to finish.
You will be responsible for:-
Managing company e-mail, answering phones and liaising with customers.
Preparing and processing new jobs, creating art-work using Corel Draw software, organising supplies and working with tool-makers if new tools need to be made.
Turning artwork into film and developing them in Image Setter software.
Briefing the factory team to begin the manufacturing process and liaise with relevant departments to provide status updates for customers.
Processing new purchase orders and provide occasional support in the factory with circuiting, labelling and serial numbering,
We are a small, friendly company so you will be expected to support across all areas of the business where necessary.
Functional Competencies and experience
While the ideal candidate will have a background in printing, no prior experience or knowledge of manufacturing, software management or printing is required and full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following behaviours:-
Enthusiastic and hard-working
High attention to detail
Good communicator and strong interpersonal skills.
Proficient using an Apple Mac
Ability to work on own initiative and to pro-actively support where help is required.
