Opportunity for permanent employment in a small successful Architectural practice in the West London area. Working as an integral part of a small sociable team, this is an ideal opportunity to learn new skills and be the first point of call for clients, enabling a development of the understanding of Planning, Building Regulation and construction standards.
Accountable to the Director, the Business Admin/Personal Assistant is responsible for providing a comprehensive, confidential and professional support service to the team in all aspects concerned with the efficient and successful operation of the office.

Key responsibilities include:
• Acting as a first point of contact; dealing with correspondence and phone calls
• Managing team diary and organising meetings and appointments, screening and controlling access to the Director
• Reminding the director of important tasks and deadlines
• Process planning, building regulation and Thames Water applications
• Invoicing, banking and credit control
• Compile and filing basic accounting documentation for VAT and Tax purposes.
• Maintain all stocks of office equipment and provisions
• Typing, compiling and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence, speedily and accurately
• Managing projects and filing system
• Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems
• Liaising with clients and external agencies
• Writing up meeting agendas and follow up tasks
• Miscellaneous tasks to support the Director, which will vary according to the sector and to the Director's remit, e.g. Complying with legislation and regulations
• Proofreading documents and e mails
• Payroll and office management, collating staff movements and absences
• Filing both electronically and manually
Salary: Competitive, £20,000 + dependent on experience and skills.
Work hours: Mon to Fri, 9.00am to 5.00pm (35 hours) - 1 hr lunch.

Skills:
• Proficient with mainstream computer software including Microsoft Office suite. CAD skills advantageous but can be taught.
• experience in Human Resources /H and S/ Accountancy procedures advantageous

• Understanding of professional approach and responsibilities
