About the Organisation:
We began our journey as a medical mission in Bermondsey long before the days of the National Health Service and served the poor and sick through two World Wars. Today we have five care homes, four in the London Borough of Bromley, and one in Southwark; together with a dementia-friendly cafe, Mission Cafe in the heart of Bromley and two charity shops in the Bromley borough.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be required to provide clerical and administrative support to the Business Support Team at our Homefield care home. You will be required to:
Maintain Home records files in accordance with legislation and security;
Collate and check timesheets;
Collate payroll and update Excel;
Assist with banking;
Assist with clerical duties as required including filing and photocopying;
Monitor and order office provisions;
Provide assistance with correspondence as required;
Attend meetings and take accurate minutes;
Receive and distribute incoming mail, faxes and parcels;
Ensure all out going post is sent in a timely manner;
Maintain the diary coordination service as required;
Record care inquiries and forward these through appropriate channels;
Answer Mission phone lines as required;
Record and send incoming invoices.
Required competencies, skills and experience:
The successful applicant will have a great work ethic and thrive in a team environment. You will possess:
A good understanding and be skilled in the use of Windows based software and systems (Outlook, Word, Excel);
Knowledge of business support, administration systems, processes and best practice;
Rigorous attention to detail;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to display this across a variety of mediums.
