An accountancy practice in Walthamstow are looking for an Accounts/Audit Senior or Semi-Senior to join their team. Reporting directly to one of the partners, the ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified or awaiting final results and have around 10 years of practice experience. Exposure to audit work - preferably including solicitor audits as well as the audit of limited companies - is a requirement of this role, as is experience in company accounts preparation as well as company and personal tax returns. Some practical experience of VAT returns and statutory filing as well as payroll is also advantageous although this will not form a major part of the role. The company are not in a position at present to be able to offer work permits, but are an ACCA approved training office if the candidate requires post qualification verifiable experience. Fluency in English is essential, as is proficiency in as many software packages as possible - experience of the following is particularly advantageous: Sage Bookkeeping and also Accounts production, Iris Accounts production and tax, and Xero bookkeeping, with a good understanding of Excel.
Ideally, the candidate should live within a 20-30 minute commute of Walthamstow by public transport due to parking restrictions. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required, as the successful candidate may eventually be required to attend outside audits. These will be accompanied initially, and all are either within the M25 or not very far outside. There is no requirement to stay away from home on any jobs.
