Mode Search is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a Menswear and shirting brand currently undergoing an exciting period of change. Under new Executive Leadership, the brand is about to reposition itself as a leading ‘Made in UK’ luxury brand, starting with designing innovative and original collections.
Following their new direction, the brand will be bringing their shirt production back into the UK and as such are excited to be opening their own workshop/factory in the London. With this new workshop, they will become true UK makers of quality products where each shirt will be handmade, laid and cut by hand to give their customers perfection, with precise fitting and beautifully French seamed, teamed with the best and premium quality fabrics from Europe. When their Workshop opens at the end of this year, they will have a production of running and bespoke styles manufactured from this site ready for the brands relaunch.
We are currently supporting with the recruitment of a Workshop/Factory Manager to take ownership of this fantastic new site.
Role description
·Overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Workshop/Factory.
·Managing a large team of cutters, machinists and support staff.
·Responsible for the management of the production flow of bulk orders.
·Made to order and bespoke oversight for both UK and India.
·Full budget responsibility of the business unit.
·Quality control over sight for both UK production and the supervision of the quality control of gold seals for off shore production.
·Oversee the new showroom ensuring products have arrives and on rails ready for the wider team to prepare.
·Brand Ambassador for visits to the workshop/factory.
·Training and developing of UK team
·Staff rostering
·Health and safety and best practice
Profile
·Men shirting experience is essential to be successful in this role.
·Understanding of bespoke and bulk production.
·Understanding patterns and the formation of and make up of men Shirts.
·Ability to produce high volume with precise detail and high quality.
·experience of running a workshop/factory of up to 25 staff producing up to 1000 pieces per week.
·Commercial acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external visitors.
·Ability to create a positive working environment where high standards and best practices are paramount.
You will have energy to match the brand’s culture along with excellent communication skills, client-centric mindset, the ability to balance day to day operations and strategic thinking and above all are looking to be part of a changing, evolving, exciting and successful journey which will offer you growth and opportunity.
