Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - Credit Control to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.
The Team Leader - Credit Control will manage the day to day operation of the Credit Control Team. You will achieve this by setting, reviewing, monitoring and improving the targets and activities carried out thereby ensuring that business outcomes are met and a high standard of financial information and data quality is maintained.
Knowledge/experience/skills required by the Team Leader - Credit Control:
- Substantial experience working in a Credit Control/Sales Ledger operation.
- Proven experience of managing an efficient and effective credit control team.
- experience in leading and delivering successful change projects.
- Proven experience of effectively engaging with and influencing external stakeholders.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Advanced knowledge of Credit Control and Sales Ledger systems.
- Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills.
- Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
- To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation.
Qualifications required by the Team Leader - Credit Control:
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English Language, Grade 4 or above or equivalent.
Desirable
- 2 A-Levels or equivalent
- Charted Institute of Credit Management (CICM) qualification or evidence of working towards it.
