Permanent, full time position for a London-wide grounds/garden maintenance company
Applicant can be located in West, East, North or South London, as we can produce a gardening round in and around any of these locations.
Guaranteed twelve months’ work a year paid on a salary basis (weekly)
Starting salary, between £20K - £23.5K per year dependent on experience
28 days holiday pay
A company van (with supplied fuel), to be taken to and from your own home, to daily work locations, is provided (for work use only)

Morton Gamble Gardens Ltd. Is looking for an enthusiastic and competent Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join its successful gardening company, that prides itself on having a great reputation with its clients.
The role will include driving, leading teams and site/garden round ownership, and so is ideal for a Senior Operative who is looking for more responsibility or an already established Team Leader.
About the role:
A permanent position (12 months a year), the successful candidate will have guaranteed work year-round in our mid sized, thriving company, carrying out the full range of grounds maintenance tasks, from hedge cutting through to planting and leading a team. Sites range from prestigious homes through to student halls.
The ability to motivate and lead a team, as well as dedication, dependability and the ability to communicate very well is required.
As a Team Leader you need to be flexible in your approach to working with others.
Essential knowledge includes common plant identification, planting and pruning, and the safe use of petrol machinery such as Mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers etc. Wider knowledge of the sector would also be beneficial including some health and safety awareness and in-depth plant knowledge. Spraying certification would also be advantageous.
Initial duties will be to ensure that grounds maintenance tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently; overseeing and working as part of a team in a hand’s on role in the gardens. As Team Leader updating client photographic records and managing schedules will be a part of daily life. Very occasionally landscaping and planting work may also take place.
The candidate must be fluent in English, 25 + years old (for insurance purposes), with a driving license and excellent levels of communication.
