Support Worker in London

Up to £15.00 Gross per Hour. Engaging, Energetic and creative Support Worker required for fun loving client with cerebral palsy in Croydon.

Nearest Train / Tube Station: East Croydon (Tram/bus to Addiscombe)
Wage / Salary: £13.00 gross per hour weekdays | £15.00 gross per hour weekends.
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? You will be required to drive the family’s adapted, automatic vehicle.
Essential experience: experience working alongside family members, confident Swimmer.
Desirable experience: experience supporting a client with a PEG, administering medication, epilepsy training.
Start Date:  as soon as possible
Days and Hours: Term time: Monday to Friday, 5.30pm – 8:30pm. Weekends: 2 Saturdays per month working 6 hours per day. School Holidays: Monday to Friday working 30 hours per week.

Louis 12, is a social, fun and engaging young man. He enjoys spending time with his family, music and playing in his sensory room. Louis has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, he is a wheelchair user and is non-verbal. He receives his nutrition via a gastrostomy and wears a spinal brace; Louis is dependent on others to meet all his care needs.
Louis attends a specialist school and lives at home with his Mum and Dad. The family will be relocating (locally) to his new adapted home before the end of the year. In this role you will provide hands on support for Louis, assisting with each aspect of his care plan and daily routine including personal care and implementing therapies.
This job will suit an experienced and positive Support Worker who is confident working shared or sole charge. You will be kind, caring and enthusiastic with a passion for supporting children with additional needs and promoting independence. Training will be provided.
