An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic sous chef to join our team at The Limping Fox pub. We are a food-led pub serving premium wines, Beers and spirits with food to match. We are a fairly new business but have built up a strong customer base and have already gained a fantastic reputation for our food. We have also won an award for our Sunday roasts.
We are looking for a chef that is creative and passionate about food and who thrives on making dishes using excellent quality, seasonal produce. We give our chefs free-reign over the menu, all we ask is that a few pub classics remain as Staple.
The successful candidates will need to be a team player, who motivates and inspires other staff members. From past experience, we know that a happy kitchen is a productive kitchen, and we want to create an enjoyable environment for everyone to work in. A strong and positive relationship with our front of house staff is also a must.
Our Sous Chef must:
Have a proven track record in delivering exceptional dishes in a time pressured environment, taking responsibility for the quality of each and every dish served.
Develop an excellent professional relationship with the Head Chef and Junior Chefs.
Be hands on with Junior Chefs, encouraging and inspiring them.
Ordering and controlling stock while demonstrating effective cost management skills at all times.
Comply with nutrition and HSE regulations and safety standards.
Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
Have exceptional proven ability of kitchen management.
