Manor House is a busy fresh food gastro pub in Wanstead, E11 - 100 yards from the nearest tube station - Wanstead on The Central Line.
The position - sous chef
We invite applications from either a current Sous Chef position or Junior Sous Chef who wants to work in a professional and friendly environment.  It is important to emphasise that we believe in a good work life balance.
The candidate must have a proven track record and experience of working in a fast paced environment and high volume experience with fresh food.
You will share this passion for our product - and also be committed to working to produce food that not only looks good but is safely prepared and meets our company standards.

The business

As for the business, Manor House is an independent pub, not part of any big "pub chain" we have big ideas without the corporate red tape or attitude, you need to be able to come to work and enjoy your job.  We are a real local's pub, destination venue and hub of the community - 12 Craft Beers on tap, 6 hand pulls and fresh food served 7 days a week. We trade over 3 areas - pub with dining room / first floor dining and events room and large beer garden - which during Spring and Summer is very busy.
We aim to deliver great quality, freshly prepared home-cooked food using local suppliers.
We open from 10am daily and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Saturdays we serve brunch from 10am though until 4pm and Sunday is all about delivering a great Sunday Roast.
The small print bit, the usual 28 days a year holiday / Chef Whites provided / coffee, tea and biscuits etc.
Remuneration - Circ 27,000 dependent on experience.
