Our beautiful pub, with its secret garden, has been in the heart of the community since late 18th century and conveniently located on the borders of Wandsworth and Putney, which make us your perfect local.
Fresh and seasonal dishes celebrating the best of British produce have been lovingly crafted by our team of chefs creating our extensive menus, which change everyday by the way. New opportunity available for a Sous Chef to join the team in Queen Adelaide. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of up to £25k per annum plus the option for Live In plus excellent benefits.
What are the responsibilities of the Sous Chef?
You will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the development, implementation and review of the menu throughout the year. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting all our food dishes to the expected standard of presentation and food hygiene regulations at all times, demonstrating your knowledge and understanding of our food strategy through delivery of freshly cooked, British seasonal dishes and pub classics. You will assist the Head Chef in the achievement of the food General Practitioner % through weekly stock management and support in managing kitchen performance against financial targets, business risk compliance and standards.
What do we look for in a Sous Chef?
Our food offer reflects our emphasis on high quality seasonal British food, locally sourced and prepared in-house and our Head Chefs and their team have the autonomy to deliver their own individual dishes according to the needs and wants of our customers.
You will have a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in a busy kitchen environment. You will have experience working in a similar environment and demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team to deliver outstanding food every time. You will be an active team player with excellent communication skills and be responsible and able to manage the kitchen safely and effectively at all times. Working alongside our Head Chef you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials, whilst demonstrating great planning and organisational skills to maintain effective controls with regards to both General Practitioner and labour.
