12-Week Social Media and Marketing Intern Fun Pet Accessory Company.
We are a dynamic fun company manufacturing and providing pet accessories to boutiques and department stores worldwide. We need someone who wants to gain a range of skills and experience, is willing to learn and be part of a team.
The successful candidate should have a basic understanding of Social Media Marketing, good communication skills and be well organised.
This position would suit a student looking to gain valuable experience for their CV, we would be able to give you an excellent reference upon successful completion of this internship and there may be future paid opportunities offered to you. This is an unpaid position but a daily allowance of £20 for lunch and travel expenses will be provided.
At the end of the intern period many of our previous interns have joined us in full time employment.
This position also offers exposure to both an office and sales environment.
Key Skills required:
1. Friendly, confident and approachable telephone manner - essential.
2. Knowledge of Marketing/Branding
3. Key Attention to detail
5. Accurate grammar and spelling and fluent writing style.
6. Excellent customer service
7. Ability to prioritise
8. An interest/knowledge of dogs and cats.
9. Knowledge of social media (blogs, instagram, twitter etc) and ability to engage with followers.
10. Some Sales experience also advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
• Researching and writing social media posts, managing and scheduling output.
• Creating and maintaining a daily media and marketing plan.
• Actively managing growth on our social media platforms creating weekly reports.
• Monitor news for relevant stories and news trends.
• Marketing and PR
• Assisting with general Showroom Activities.
* Appearing in and and creating live video content.
There will be key skills taught on the job but you are expected to have a passion for marketing as a career and a core basic understanding of the principles. You will leave this internship having had an intense exposure to running all aspects of social media and marketing and should pick up many useful new skills.
Other Key Skills Learnt in this position:
1. General Office Skills and Web based selling.
2. Creation of Invoices and basic Accounts Management.
3. Key Skills involved in running a Model Agency (for animals)
4. Sales Techniques
5. Dealing with Customers both Wholesale and Retail, Domestic and International.
Pay; Unpaid Internship (daily travel and lunch expenses of £20 provided) 12 weeks.
Working hours; 5days a week – 10.30am – 6.00pm We may consider applicants who are available part-time, you are welcome to apply but need a minimum of 4 weekdays available.
Location; London, W1 (nearest tube: Oxford Circus or Bond Street)
