Who we need
Our ideal candidate will have at least one year’s experience at Sous Chef level.
experience with Mexican cuisine is desirable but not essential; more important is a passion for great food, team and kitchen management.
We are looking for a dependable, creative soul who maintains a sense of calm under pressure. The successful candidate will lead with a supportive spirit and be passionate about the highest levels of product.
The role
As Senior Sous Chef you will be responsible for supporting our Head Chef and Co-Founder Paul Daniel, and working alongside him to run the kitchen, ensuring that your team are able deliver consistent and excellent food to our 60 covers.
With this position we are specifically looking for a candidate who we believe can step into the Head Chef role or another larger role with us as it becomes available – we have big plans ahead!
You will also:
Maintain order, preparation, and discipline.
Manage food purchasing and storage, and assist stocktaking and costings.
Assist with recruiting, trialling, and inducting our brigade.
Create rotas from scratch, to an established budget.
Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
Ensure your brigade is well-trained, happy, and serving to our standards.
We offer
Circa £34k per annum
28 Days holiday per year
Team Meal – We dine from our menu, one meal per shift.
Corazon Quarterly – all the team is invited to a breakfast session every 3 months – the MD will share the company performance and strategy moving forward.
An annual summer garden party for team members and their families.
