St Johns Tavern have an opportunity for an aspiring, energetic individual to take a good position where they will have a great opportunity to learn and hopefully move up.
We are looking for someone preferably with CATERING SCHOOL experience and a huge hunger for British and European Seasonal cooking. Someone with first hand knowledge of this Genre of cuisine - who has maturity, is organised, structured, but who can also learn from some strong experienced individuals.
You will expected to show initiative at all times to realise full potential of opportunity.
We are mainly inspired by British cuisine and produce, seasonal of course, but European regional favourites often crop up. The cooking therefore is British/European but tied with an identity of style and approach. Big, bold and true flavours. Classic but innovative bistro style
We are always busy so you will have to hit the ground running.
The St Johns dynamic is professional, but also lifestyle.
Please note that you need to be located in an area where you don't spend your whole day travelling to get here ! South and East London is too far
Salary is negotiable @ £25k pa according to experience.
