WE ARE BAR GROUP LTD are looking for a second chef for our venue Jamies Bar and Kitchen based in London Bridge. We are looking for a chef with a proven track record in producing good fresh quality food, who will support the Head Chef in running the kitchen and ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
The candidate must have experience in a very food/service driven establishment. Party and group bookings are a key part of this business throughout the year and even more so at Christmas.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensuring careful control of foods to preserve quality and minimize wastages
• Adherence to legislation for food handling, health and safety and hygiene
• Be able to manage stock rotation
• Ensure consistency of standard of food production and quality is maintained at all times
• Positive working relations with kitchen teams and all departments
• Communication with all areas is clear, consistent and transparent
• Positive working relations with kitchen teams and all departments
In addition the successful candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in the following key areas:
Planning and Organising
• Is always punctual and meets deadlines
• Is able to delegate tasks appropriately specifying what has to be achieved, by whom and by when
Delivering and Improving Standards
• Adheres to Company systems, procedures and processes
• Ensures management team are clearly focused on maintaining and improving quality standards
• Ensures compliance with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, People policies and all relevant legislation
Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
All candidates must be fluent in english, both written and spoken, have a UK bank account, National insurance number and have the right to work in the uk.
