Restaurant manager - full time - permanent - north london n15
40 + Hours per week, 5 days a week
£11 Per hour based on experience, skills and commitment.
Loven is looking for a restaurant manager to run the day-to-day operations of the pizzeria in Seven Sisters, N15. We are looking for someone who considers them-self to be a professional in hospitality and therefore have a professional attitude towards the job. Someone with at least 2 + years experience of a similar role; pro-active; able to think independently and problem solve but also able to work closely with other people; communicate well; train, manage and help create a strong cohesive team; provide a link between both the pizzeria and our new bakery in N17.
Duties
- Perform daily opening and closing checks to make sure all aspects of restaurant are presentable, clean, well maintained and ready for service.
- Recruiting, training and supervising staff (We encourage our team to partake in local apprenticeship scheme, this means we must provide good in-house training at all levels)
- Staff Rota’s and general Human Resources duties.
- Control the ordering and stock levels within the restaurant.
- Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sale representatives and maintaining positive relationships.
- Making improvements to the running and development of the business.
- Working with the business management team to help analyse the business development, set budgets, sales targets, marketing and promotion, menu development etc.
- Deal with customer enquiries and possible complaints.
- Generally ensuring a restaurant full of happy people at all levels.
Qualities and skills
- A friendly and positive attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Great customer skills and friendly attitude.
- Able to create a strong, hardworking and motivated team.
- Able to deal with potentially stressful situations calmly and fairly.
- Well organized, committed, reliable, and responsible.
- Must have a least 2 years experience of working in a similar position.
- Must have basic food hygiene training or at the very least an in depth understanding of what this entails.
- Must understand alcohol licensing objectives.
- Must have at least 1 current reference available.

We are English/Italian partnership with a team from all over the world. We are friendly, relaxed but hardworking group with a belief in providing high quality food and a fantastic experience. Our customers are mainly people who live in the area and share our belief in building a great local community and being part of the future of the area. We are currently expanding, with the opening of the bakery; a new café/restaurant close by and developing a mobile catering opportunity.
