Responsibilities Include:
- ensuring the customers are greeted, seated and served
- Monitor guest waiting list along with the reservations list- When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party and Provide guests with estimated waiting time
- Provide a menu for customers and explain the specials
- Regularly check the reservation book for next meal reservations
- Answer customer’s question accurately
- Assign tasks to the serving personnel for smooth running of the business
- Ensure that guests are being attended to
- Welcome and greet guests as they arrive
- Escort guests to their seats
- Schedule reservations in advance for guest
- Keep the customers as comfortable as possible
- Act as an intermediary between the kitchen and restaurant staff
- Monitor the status of each table and provide guests with the menu
- Welcome and lead guests to their tables
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
Requirements:
- Must have a polite and hospitable disposition
- Possession of a positive and enthusiastic attitude and personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective customer service skills
- Ability to withstand pressure and immaculate multitasking ability
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Certificate in hotel management and hospitality is a plus
