Position: Team Assistant
Contract: Permanent
Location: Dalston
Hours: 9am to 6pm (weekends shifts also required)
experience: A good level of English and Mathematics.
Pitman’s People – Based in Dalston, a growing Marquee Crew, Event Structure Crew and Event Staffing Company Established as supplier to the event.
We have been established for over 10 years working with all the major Marquee companies in the UK and Europe. Our ethos is to work with our clients/crews to get the best results.
Role description:
• Based at Reception, greeting and signing in visitors
• Supporting the Office Manager, Director and Events and Marquee team
• Answering/making calls
• Sending mail
• Signing for and checking deliveries- collecting and distributing post
• Updating databases
• Dealing with payroll queries
• Stock-taking
• Assisting with office facility management
• Ad hoc errands
• New Starters- scanning documentation, uploading
• Filing/archiving documents
• Dealing with hotels and travel arrangements
Requirements:
You need to be a good communicator, capable of multi-tasking, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
A team player able to manage a range of internal relationships, but equally confident working under own initiative.
Be very organised, a people person, have an interest in working in a dynamic fast-paced office.
Excellent communications skills in spoken and written English. Computer literate with a good knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, Outlook.
Thinking on your feet and for yourself is another quality needed.
