We are a very successful UK wide retail shop fitter who currently has a healthy pipeline of work which consist of mainly supermarket retailers.
We are looking for an Intermediate / Senior quantity surveyor to help ensure these projects are managed with the highest degree of motivation and productiveness.
You will be responsible for the following areas;
Tender costing
Analyse tender returns and make recommendations for the appointment of main/sub-contractors and specialist suppliers
Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the procurement of direct supply items
Set up and manage cost reports, PO's and business cost management systems
Carry out monthly valuations in conjunction with the PM for all suppliers and produce valuation certificates
Liaise with all stakeholders to control project costs
Assist the PM in all project administration.
You must have proven retail industry experience and a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
Qualifications and experience:
Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification
Demonstrable experience in retail construction cost management as well as producing
tenders
Ability to cost variations throughout the project.
Fully conversant in office applications and advanced Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills
Confident negotiator
Ability to work both within a team and autonomously.

