Jonathan Mark Garden Design has been designing and building gardens since 1990 across England. We specialise in providing high quality landscape services to consumers in and around London.
We currently have a vacancy for a Project Manager.
Job purpose: - To ensure that all materials are available on site to meet the client’s specification and deadlines.
Key activities : -
To ensure that the team leaders are fully briefed on the client’s specifications and deadlines.
To order materials for the projects, ensuring that all suppliers fully understand the client’s specification and deadlines.
To liaise with the client’s representatives on site ensuring that any amendments are recorded and promptly communicated to the team leaders and suppliers.
Checking that all work conforms to the client’s specification.
Working with the Senior Team Leaders to prevent recurring defects.
Key responsibilities: -
To ensure that the relevant risk assessments and method statements are prepared prior to work commencing and that the teams undertaking the work are fully briefed on them.
To liaise with the client on site in order to maintain an understanding of their specifications and deadlines.
To ensure that all materials, plant and equipment, labour and other resources are available on site as required.
To minimise the amount of wasted time and materials.
To produce and distribute weekly work schedules for the teams.
To ensure that projects achieve their projected profit margins.
To ensure that communications with the office and clients are clear and effective.
To conduct any disciplinary investigation meetings and maintain a written record. To keep the Senior General Manager informed at the earliest opportunity of any issues that may require further action.
To deal with any disciplinary matters on site in conjunction with the Human Resources manager.
To present a positive and professional image of the company to clients, staff and other stakeholders at all times.
You will be expected to be able to demonstrate the following:
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Excellent man management and leadership skills
A good level of plant and horticultural knowledge.
A sound understanding of horticultural machinery and processes.
experience of running landscape projects on new build housing developments is essential.
experience of working in a Quality Management System environment is desirable although full training will be given.
A full, current UK driving license is essential.
The job is based at office in Notting Hill.
Working hours are 8:00am – 5:00 pm.
The salary is £22,000 - £25'000 per annum.
The position comes with 22 days annual holiday + bank holidays.
