Payroll Administrator/Operations Executive - London (Paddington) - Full time - £20k + Benefits.
“Ever wanted to join a tech business, but don’t want to be a coder? Well join us as we disrupt the payment services industry with a technology solution that makes running payroll, fast, cost effective and transparent. Come and be a part of our high growth business as we seek to reach a target of ONE MILLION payments a month!”
The opportunity:
As one of our Payroll Administrators you’ll work in a super fast paced environment, supporting our clients who are companies large and small across the entertainment, leisure, retail, food services, advertising and recruitment space. It’s not for the faint hearted, but it is for someone who wants to work in an organisation that seeks to continually improve through product enhancement and inner team feedback. For those that love change, challenge and being able to high five at the end of each day, we’re the right place. If you want a career opportunity that can see you develop into an influential member of a rapidly expanding business, we’re for you. If you want to just do a day job and not need to care about it - please pass us by.

So what’s it doing?
Day to day we’re managing the payment processing of wages to temporary staff across the country. You'll be responsible for the relationship management of our clients, who could be either a business that has lots of temporary staff that it’s paying, or a recruitment business that has us managing their processing for them. Either way this means helping them with information flow into our systems and workflows. We have to check their accuracy and ensure the timely delivery and execution of each part of the workflow. Once checked and reconciled we hit GO! The workers get paid, the clients are happy and we can sign off ready for the next run, for the next client.
Every week we’re improving the product suite; automating, refining, testing and developing, so you’re going to see constant change and a cycle of continual improvement, whilst all around you, you’ll see growth! Growth that you’ll become a part of.
You will learn all about the temporary staffing payments industry and its ecosystem, as well as the intricacies of; P45’s, P46, National Insurance, Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Auto Enrollment and pensions. As you advance in the company you will progress to a senior role in the client services team, or perhaps a move into the products, implementation or projects team. There’s so many options :)

The story so far:
Our Founders have spent their lives in the temporary labour market and saw a set of problems that were ripe for a fresh approach. Engage was born and we set out to build a lean, cloud based application that would connect up all users and facilitate the entire recruitment process, from vacancy to billing.
We've taken a disjointed and multifaceted supply chain and unified each stakeholder in the chain through our technology, giving clarity of information to all. Our user friendly interfaces make process management a breeze, whilst our compliance and reconciliation efficiencies cut swathes of time from previously burdensome tasks.
We've made it client agnostic. So, any size business, any one in the supply chain and the worker themselves accesses the same software solution. It speeds up payments, removes duplicate actions and albut eliminates mistakes. Our aim is to make the life those employing temporary staff, providing temporary staff or managing the payment of temporary staff simple.
It's pretty cool, even if we do say so ourselves :)

About you:
We don't like to put people into a box, however we think you're likely to have the following skills:

Probably a second jobber, or graduate that has worked out of term time.

Excellent customer service and organisational skills.

You must be able to prove your attention to detail.

Numeracy is important, but you don’t need to be Einstein.

Motivated by your own growth and achievements.

Excel skills (Microsoft)

Nice to have:

An understanding or experience of Saas based provision.

Previous experience in a high intensity environment.

Benefits:

Annual Leave Entitlement is 23 Days + Public Holidays.

Cultural Expenses Scheme
Pension Scheme
½ Day off on your birthday
