About the Roles:We have pastry chef vacancies in both our Pastry and Viennoiserie departments. Pastry: Reporting to the Head Pastry Chef, you will be an experienced pastry chef with the ability to produce high volume cakes and pastry products to consistently high quality standards. You will be working in a busy team environment in a modern bakery facility in South East London. Viennoiserie: Reporting to the Viennoiserie Supervisor, you will be an experienced pastry chef able to produce large quantity viennoiserie. The department produces 4000 to 5000 pastries per day including Tart Croissant, pain au chocolate, pain aux Raisin, danishes, Tart cases, cookies, and puff pastry.You will have some experience as a Pastry Chef within a high volume environment, and be able to hit the ground running although you will have the support of your team and management.The ideal candidate should:Be able to produce cakes at a high standard (pastry only)Be able to finish, and decorate pastry products including cakes (pastry only)Produce large scale danishes, croissants, Tart cases, cookies and puff pastry (viennoiserie only)Have good organisational skillsBe a team player Have a can do attitudeBe punctual, reliable, and hard-workingBe willing to learn and share knowledge with othersBe able to communicate effectively in English Salary is dependent upon experience circa 20-21k working 5 days per week out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays on a Rota basis.
