Lantana is an Australian owned independent restaurant business with three central London locations and a fourth site opening in June 2022. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic pastry chef / all rounder to join our Shoreditch team.
Your role will specialise in preparing our baked goods for our 3 sites. You will also produce our delicious takeaway and dine in counter food – seasonal salads, savoury tarts, baked chicken and salmon done with in house marinades, and hot dishes such as lasagne, melanzane, and tartiflette. Our baked products are a key part of our offering and we’re keen to really evolve this aspect. Current baking includes whole cakes, individual cakes, tray Bakes, tarts, slices, and biscuits.
You must have experience in a chef de partie position, be organised, able to work independently and above all, have a genuine love of food and seasonal cooking. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced chef looking for an autonomous role who can help us push forward with an innovative and high quality offering. If you have a perfectionist’s passion for excellent quality food and coffee you will fit right in.
The position is currently based at our Shoreditch restaurant and will move to our new site in Southwark/London Bridge from July 2022. Lantana is consistently recognised as a leader in its field in London and has been named by Timeout as both best cafe and one of the best places for brunch in central London. Our menu is inspired by Australia’s melting pot of culinary cultures and we pride ourselves on making everything ourselves because we believe that if you want it done well, you do it yourself.
Depending on experience the position comes with a package of £26,000 per annum.
