Hotel Night Receptionist

The Columbia Hotel is looking for enthusiastic and talented people to provide outstanding service to our guests and to ensure the hotel’s standards are at the highest level at all times.
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Night Receptionist to join our Team.
Who we are:
The Columbia Hotel is family run hotel in Lancaster Gate, overlooking Hyde Park, just one mile from Marble Arch. With 103 guest bedrooms, 4 conference rooms, spacious breakfast room, guests bar and lounge. We are a very busy budget hotel which aims to offer modern day requirements, whilst retaining the character of the original Victorian-buildings.
About the role:
Start Date: as soon as possible
Salary / Remuneration: £7.50 per hour during training and rising to £7.80 per hour after training. Staff meals on duty.
Shifts: 46¼ Hours per week over a two-week Roster, made up from a combination of 5.00pm - 2.00am and 10.00pm – 8.30am, 5 days per week.
As a Night Receptionist you will be the main contact for all guests, in the hotel during the night.
Duties Include:

Welcoming guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
Handling cash and payments
Late check In and early check outs
Overseeing the hotel public spaces
Telephone Enquiries/Reservations,
General enquiries from hotel guests.

Candidates must be reliable, extremely positive, have to enjoy interacting with people, have good personal presentation and an excellent command of both written and spoken English. Although not essential, previous experience using a hotel PMS (property management system) is preferred.
