We are a relaxed happy family living in Crouch End with a bright and affectionate 3 year old son. As we both work, we are looking for someone to take care of him after nursery on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We have some flexibility about hours but either me or my husband will normally be home in the evening by 18.00.
Your job will be to:
Collect our son from nursery
Play with him in the afternoon
Cook or heat up a simple evening meal and clean up
He has a very sweet nature and is sociable and imaginative. He enjoys craft, playing with cars, train sets and going to the park. Someone kind, calm and fun who is happy to go with the flow would be a good match.
We want someone who really loves young children and enjoys building a friendship as the child grows and changes. We expect to offer between 3-5 hours per day, and would also give you the opportunity to work some longer days during holidays or half term (around 8-10 hours) and any ad hoc help we require. We can offer £10-12 per hour dependent on your experience and qualifications.
We think that the flexibility of the role might make it a good option for someone with other commitments (e.g. Self employed, homemaker, EYITT/ QTS or other student). You must have checkable references, be non-smoking, and have an up to date DBS certificate. We have a preference for someone with relevant experience and understanding of small children.
