About the opportunity
The Marketing Manager will play a critical role in helping to further develop and establish the charitable organisation by helping to raise our profile with the community and stakeholders and promote the activities the organisation is involved in.
This role offers a great opportunity for the right person who is looking to; gain experience in the Third Sector; develop their office based and management experience; or just simply 'give something back to their community'. The role provides you flexibility and autonomy at work. Where necessary specific training will also be provided to help you develop and grow your skill set.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-Develop the strategies needed to build, maintain and manage our stakeholder relationships.
-Lead Marketing campaigns.
-Along with other team members work to rise the profile of our charitable organization and generate funds.
-Help PR officer(s) in researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.
-To create marketing reports for the projects when required.
-Work with PR officer(s) in organising the promotion and press releases for all events and activities.
-Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
-Contribute to staff meetings and other internal meetings with views and suggestions etc.

What are they looking for?
ESSENTIAL
-You will need to have good written skills and good understanding of the different media channels used to the raise profile of an organisation
-You are willing to research and look for new marketing opportunities that match our aims and objectives.
-You will be required to communicate your ideas clearly to other volunteers so you will need to be a confident communicator.
-Well organized, pro-active, self-starter and able to deliver tasks efficiently.
-Good time-management skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel.
-To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments
-Strong team player
-Ability to work independently and ask for clarification when needed.
-Willing to work at least two half days a week.
DESIRABLE
-Previous Marketing experience is a plus.
-Committed to working with the community with a passion for helping others less fortunate.
Practical Considerations
This opportunity is suitable for those people who would like to get office based experience.
