Consumer Marketing Manager Wanted

Plantation Shutters Ltd is the longest established and one of the most respected shutter companies in the UK and we are always looking for enthusiastic individuals that can make a difference to our company and help us keep growing and evolving.
This a new role and requires a determined target driven approach who will plan and develop the long term marketing strategy to meet our objectives and targets in conjunction with the Sales team. It will involve defining the consumer marketing plan, establishing the optimal marketing mix, website usability and optimisation and report marketing results to the senior management team.
General Responsibilities
• Full responsibility for the development of the PS marketing strategiey and implementation planning to increase customer acquisition and retention and drive value through all core channels (email, online and printed resources)
• Maximize market share and growth of the PS brand, making it the number one choice in its sector(s) for both trade customers and consumers.
Specific Responsibilities
• Competitor analysis and benchmarking.
• Help develop marketing materials, samples, POS and other printed material.
• Focus on the continual improvement of the process of lead generation to sales conversion.
• Generation of advertorial and editorial coverage in appropriate trade and consumer media.
• Develop and maintain an appropriate network of influential press and media contacts to optimise Plantation Shutters publicity.
• Monitor local exhibitions, advising on appropriate participation schedules. Exploring the potential for Plantation Shutters to co-brand and participate at regional exhibitions in conjunction with key dealers. Manage PS exhibition.
• Help with the current development of PS’s online presence, making the website a key element of the sales and marketing mix to consumers, trade accounts and potential trade contract channels.
• Report on campaigns and constantly review metrics to determine what is working and what can be improved or optimized.
• Analyse return on investment of marketing spend.
• Participate in PS monthly sales meetings.
• Travel as required, to agencies, press, dealers and exhibitions.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• Must have previous experience in a similar position.
• Budget planning and management skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Must have great verbal and written skills.
• Must be competent in aspects of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Driving license preferred.
Salary circa 35K OTE.
Working hours are Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5.30pm.
20 days holiday + bank holidays.
