Building company requires a manager in SW London area.
The job consist of looking after a new build in Twickenham as well as couple of other projects in SW London area.
Day to day tasks will be to:
-make sure all workforce are occupied and materials ordered,
- looking after putting the right workers to the task so it is done efficiently and to good quality,
- liaison with clients, or architect
- taking notes of the man hours
- making sure all sites are correctly locked at the end of each day
- make sure that the work progress follows the time schedule
- make sure that the work is being done to the requirements set out in the plans and specification and take notes of any alterations and additions.
- Liaising with Building control and structural engineer
- hiring people if required
- as well as dealing with day to day problems
The ideal candidate will have:
- at least 10 years of experience on similar position
- CSCS card, or training in managing, or supervising
- driving license
- be fluent in English
- be able to read drawings and specification
- have a good general technical knowledge in few building areas like main structures, carpentry, joinery, roofing as well as finishing (tiling, decorating)
- very good eye for details
