Our luggage porter is an enthusiastic and unique individual who will have extensive experience in the 4* market preferably gained in London with a specialisation in the Guest Services/ Concierge department for at least 1 year. Applicants must hold a full and clean UK driving licence for at least 2 years.

Dorsett Shepherds Bush, is a listed building with 317 rooms, 2 restaurants, a Spa, 3 meeting rooms and an executive lounge. The hotel opened its doors in June 2014 and over the last 4 years gained the reputation of delivering excellent guest experiences in a beautiful hotel with comfortable and well appointed rooms.
The Luggage porter will support the Assistant Front Office Managers and Front Office Manager. He/she will ensure we provide the best customer care to all our guests. You will be detailed orientated and will be part of the team to set and maintain standards.
The role involves the following (however not limited to):
• Ensure a high level of customer service is constantly maintained.
• Ensure that all our individual guests and Groups receive a fast, efficient and friendly assistance.
• Ensure that all customer and Group queries or requests are handled in a polite and efficient manner.
• Ensure messages and faxes are regularly delivered throughout the day.
• Assist with room moves and luggage deliveries and Manning the Front Door, following all standard operating procedures.
• Provide a warm welcome to our guests through the door as and when covering the door.
• Ensure that both the Front of House Manager and Assistant Front Office Managers are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from either the guest’s or other departments.
• Assist Switchboard Operators, Front Office Assistant, and Night team when necessary.
• Portray a “Yes I can” attitude at all times.
• Follow the correct procedure with Valet Parking and ensure communication is clear for guests when parking cars offsite.
• Assist guests with hotel tours, theatre tickets, and chauffer services in line with preferred agency and departmental SOP.
