Live Out House Manager Needed

A discreet, hardworking, proactive and experienced House Manager / Cook is required to work for a down to earth and warm family Thursday-Sunday in East Berkshire. Located in Sunningdale at the moment, with a moving date to Virginia Water in August the family are looking for someone with considerable management experience to help oversee their move, settle them in and manage the smooth daily running of the household.
With a fully staffed household and a part time (Monday – Wednesday) Chef this role is a hands on, varied and enjoyable position encompassing the daily household management alongside the provision of very high quality, thoughtfully sourced family meals.
Requiring a self-starter, who likes a diverse job, there is a vegetable garden to be cultivated, a household to pack up and relocate, and a really welcoming family to become part of with 1 school aged child (9).
This is a role ideally suited to someone who is looking for a long term position and is located within easy commuting distance of both Sunningdale (in the immediacy) and Virginia Water for the long term, or someone who is happy to relocate locally.
Hours: Thursday – Sunday 07 h00 – 19 h00 (with occasional dinner parties etc)
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £50,000 ++ (Dependent on experience)
Start Date: as soon as possible
Interviewing: as soon as possible
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Overseeing upkeep of high standards in the household
• Packing up of current home in preparation of move
• Relocation and set up of new home:
• Staff rotas
• Suppliers
• Management of stock levels
• Wardrobe management
• Packing / unpacking suitcases
• Provision of breakfast, lunch and supper for family and staff
• Dinner party catering
• Development of kitchen garden
Candidates must be / have:
• Exceptionally organised and have a keen eye for detail
• Previous experience in Household Management
• Highly competent cook and passionate about food, health and sourcing of ingredients
• IT adept – rotas, spreadsheets and financial management
• Hands on and autonomous – you must be happy to work independently
• Confident with management of other staff and happy to work as part of a wider team
• Able to prioritise your own workload and plan ahead
• Independent, quiet, discreet and self-contained
• Patient and yet highly motivated
• A perfectionist when it comes to presentation
• Healthy, active and fit
