Living on one of North West London’s most beautiful streets, our client is looking for a professional and experienced housekeeper to oversee the smooth running of her home. With accommodation provided (separate entrance) the client is willing to consider a couple if required, but focus is on a 360 housekeeper to maintain a clean, comfortable and tidy environment and manage her beautiful home.
With single child and a family dog, the housekeeper also needs to be happy to Muck in with occasional babysitting and dog care, and act in loco parentis if she needs to travel with work (rare).
Replacing a long-time employee who has had to return to her native country, this role has real longevity and stability to it – and the client is keen to find someone who will commit to them for the long term, hence being happy to consider a residential couple.
Location:         North West London
Hours:              5 days per week – with Monday PM, Thursday PM and Sunday Off.
Salary:             up to £38,000 g.p.a

Notes:               Fluent English essential – Russian beneficial but not a deal breaker.
Responsibilities:
Laundry:

Iron and press clothing and linen
Sort, fold and put away clean laundry
Take and collect dry-cleaning
Arrange for regular cleaning of soft furnishings.

Manage the daily cleaner
Ensure property is kept clean and tidy at all times (dust allergy)
Sweep, mop and polish floors
Vacuum and clean carpets, tugs and draperies.
Fust and polish furniture and fittings
Clean metal fixtures and fittings
Empty and clean rubbish containers
Clean wash basins, mirrors, baths and showers.
Wipe down glass
Make up beds and change linens
General help around the house and kitchen.
Monitor and report any repairs and replacements.
Change lightbulbs, batteries etc when required.
Occasional dog walking and care
Occasional babysitting (11 year old child)

Light cooking on occasion

Required skills

Must have 5 + years previous experience working in a similar role.
Fluent English speaking – Russian a + but not essential.
Must have worked in a formal household environment.
Must be comfortable working with fine fabrics.
Happy to be flexible and Muck in
Happy to oversee a secondary (part time) housekeeper.
Hold an EU passport
Hold a current DBS and checkable (written and verbal) references.
