This is a fabulous job for a Housekeeper to work in a beautiful home in Highgate. You must be able to speak and understand some Russian.
The family have two children, 6 and 13, who are at school all day - there is no nanny work with this job but you should be 'child friendly'.
Your role will be to manage the day to day running of the home, and you will be the person that is in daily contact with the Principals.
Your job will include; managing the house, making sure that it is cleaned and presented to the highest level, laundry and ironing, greeting guests and serving refreshments, wardrobe management and packing and unpacking suitcases, the care of fine objects and household silver, ordering food and other household supplies, dealing with contractors and suppliers where necessary, making sure that there are flowers in the reception areas, ensuring that guest rooms are made up to top standards, and anything else that is needed to make sure that the house runs smoothly. You will also be talking to the lady of the house and their PA to ensure that you know what is in the family's diary. There is no cooking with this role.
It is essential that you have worked as a Housekeeper in a similar role in a top level private residence. You must have knowledge of how to clean and present a house to this standard. You will also need to know how to set a formal table and serve at the table. You will need to speak or understand some Russian and have good English, be very well presented, reliable and be able to work to the highest levels.
This is a live in role, working Monday to Friday. Your job will start at 7am to help with breakfast and you can then organise your own day so that you get a long break in the afternoon - you will then come back to help serve dinner and the family do not eat late, usually around 6.30-7pm. Your accommodation will be your own sitting room, bedroom, and bathroom - this is in a separate house in the grounds used for some staff. There are also cooking facilities if you need them but all your meals are provided by the chef. Salary is in the region of 500-550 net pw (your tax and national insurance will be paid by the principals in addition to your net salary).
