We are looking for a live-in au pair to help look after our two children. We are two classical musicians and our children are a 6 year old, a very loving and affectionate boy who’s well behaved and chatty, and a 3 year old, who is cheeky and fun. Both of them will soon be in full-time school, so the main part of your role will be getting them ready for, and picking them up from, school.
We live in Lambeth/Kennington with the nearest tube being Lambeth North. We’re within easy walking distance of the London Eye and Houses of Parliament and you can walk to Covent Garden within half an hour. There are also lots of buses to Oxford Circus, Trafalgar Square, Chelsea and more.
We are looking for someone to do 25 hours (Monday-Friday) and one evening’s babysitting a week. During term-time we would like you to look after the boys from 7.30am-9.30am, when they’re dropped off at school, and from 3.30pm-6.30pm after school. In the holidays, we’d like it to be flexible from week to week as our schedules vary. We would like you to prepare simple meals for the children’ dinner and we’d appreciate a little bit of tidying up within your hours. We also have a dog, so you need to be comfortable with pets in the house.
We can offer £100 a week with your own room and separate toilet which are on a different floor from our bedrooms. We would provide all your meals at home.
My wife and I both work abroad occasionally so there is the possibility of travelling within Europe.
Preferably we would like you to start in September and we would like to meet face-to-face this week (6-8 September) at our home so that you can meet the children and see the house.
