Hi! We're an easygoing, fun English family of 4, seeking 30-35 hours per week of live-in help starting this September.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience starting this September for at least 11 months.
Our Family
We're a relaxed, fun family of 4, very normal apart from our strange names!
We're both professionals in our 40s, married for 9 happy years, and working full time.
Our two boys (Rocco 6, Huxley.
4) Are at a private school nearby. They are healthy, happy, playful, and very funny! We want them to be young gentlemen and respectful.
Their friends have lots of au pairs and nannies who will help you be happy here.
Location
We've a large house with a big garden, near several parks in a very green historic conservation area in central London (you will sometimes hear Big Ben in the evenings). It's a great area: super quiet, really convenient, lots of gyms, pubs and activities. We love it here.
Tube is 4 Mins. 8 bus routes within 2 minutes. Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Big Ben all 20 Mins away.
Your Space
You have your own large bed and bedroom with a TV in a big room (for London!). A large TV room is yours in the evening too if you want. So you have lots of private space for movies, reading etc, and you can choose a shared or private bathroom (depending if you prefer to bath or shower).
The tube is 4 minutes away. We have 8 bus routes within 2 minutes. Buckingham Palace or London Eye are about 20 minutes. And we have wonderful Neighbours who look after each other: the nannies help each other too.
The Work
We can take our boys to school most mornings, so your hours can start in the afternoon if your prefer. You will:
- collect the boys from school every afternoon ~3pm/5pm
- help with any homework (it's easy and quick at this age)
- feed them
- bathe them, ready for bedtime (7pm).
Rocco loves reading, so is pretty easy after school. Huxley has no homework.
We are normally home by 6.30pm.
We also ask for 2 hours daily of tidying, family laundry, changing bedsheets, etc.
We have a weekly cleaner, but ask you to respect her and keep our home tidy: she is also part of our family and we love her too!
If you would like extra money in the holidays for extra hours, we would prefer this.
We ask for 2 nights babysitting each week, often one on a weekend.
We're as flexible as possible, as we trust each other, and rely on each other. We want this to be a happy home for you, not just a job.
Pay
We will pay up to £180pw (depending on experience), for up to 35 hours. We really only need 30 hours work and it is flexible outside of 3-7pm.
We pay for your food, transport for work, etc. If there's anything else, else let us know: we want to helpful!
4 week paid holiday, and all 8 bank holidays.
You don't need to drive (we are so close to London's highlights). You don't need to work weekends: mornings and weekends are your time. We're not vegetarian (the boys love sausages!), but we want our children to welcome all people and cultures. You don't need to to cook much (only kids dinner). You rarely need to shop. We don't smoke. If you would like to be included in our holidays sometimes, let us know.
