We are a professional couple looking for a caring, responsible, happy Au Pair(non-smoking) to care for our son, James, a very active, energetic nine-year-old boy, for a minimum one-year contract.
Please be aware that James suffers with eczema which requires a strict creaming schedule. No previous experience of this is required as we will fully instruct you in the use of creams etc.
We are looking for an Au Pair who is very organised, flexible, patient and can easily adapt to our busy household. You must love children and be mature, reliable, trustworthy, punctual and well presented.
You will be required to care for James Mon-Friday 6.45-9.00 and 14.50 – 19.00
Light housework during the day and ironing for James.
One late evening a week and one Saturday evening a month.
A good knowledge of English both spoken and written is essential, and you must be resident in the UK.
Four weeks paid holiday a year excluding Bank holidays.
We are a pet free, non-smoking household.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting James to get washed and ready in the morning, prepare a packed lunch.
• School run (approximately. 15-minute walk) and collect in the afternoon
• Cook meals and prepare snacks for James.
• Bathing and assisting with James personal care
• Light cleaning, general housekeeping, and ironing during the day.
• Homework, Kumon and reading supervision.
Salary: £120 - £150 (depending on experience)per week, lovely own room in our home with full board, lodgings, with Wi-Fi access.
Petts Wood is a lovely suburb of Kent, with frequent direct trains into London and the South Coast.
Schools, train station, shops, cafes, restaurants, parks and leisure facilities are all within walking distance.
