Dear Au Pair,
We are a busy, fun, and loving family with 3 gorgeous children, 2 boys aged 11 and 9, and a 5 year old daughter. We also have a beautifully natured family-friendly small dog.
We are looking for an independent, caring, organised and fun-loving au pair to join our family. We are a loving family, and want our au pair to feel comfortable in, and respect our home. We will respect your independence and privacy. Someone who is able to develop strong, loving relationships with our children, is organised, thoughtful, with a strong work ethic, reasonable English, and ability to cook would be ideal. You will have your own bright and sunny garden facing room, with double bed, storage, desk, TV and internet access, our house has a garden.
Our home is in Golders Green, London. Very close to all local amenities- the underground, a lovely park, and the children's school are all within 5 minutes’ walk, the beautiful Hampstead Heath is on our doorstep. 20 minutes into central London.
Both parents have busy jobs and are generally out of the house from 07.30 to 19.30 Monday to Friday.
During school term time a typical day for you would be:
• 07.30-09.00 - wake the children, help them get breakfast and ready for school, walk them to school (5 minutes away)
• 09.00-09.30 – take the dog for a walk on the nearby Heath, tidy up breakfast things
• 09.30-15.00 – free time for you (e.g many English schools in Golders Green)
• 15.30-19.30 – Collect kids from school, play with them/ playdates with friends, prepare healthy dinner for the kids, help with bathing and getting ready for bed, tidy up after dinner
• 19.30 – free time for you (one evening a week baby-sitting until 23.00)
• Weekends – free time for you (baby-sitting one Friday evening and one Saturday evening a month)
During school holidays, extra hours looking after the children during the day would be required.
Light housework and laundry would be expected (we also employ a cleaner).
We are looking for someone to join our family in mid-August, ideally to stay with us for at least a year. We always prefer to interview face to face, hence preference will be given to those already living in the UK. Previous childcare experience looking after children of multiple ages will put you in a strong position. Please contact us if this sounds like the right fit for you. Look forward to hearing from you!
