We are looking for a warm hearted, energetic and creative nanny or au pair to look after our two young boys in North West London, 5 minutes walk from Kensal Green tube station, and a 20 minute walk from Portobello Road market and Notting Hill. We hope you are able to start on or around 8 May, stay at least a year (hopefully longer) and speak English or German to our boys, who have a German Dad and an English Mum.
Our eldest boy goes to nursery every day, starting School in September, and the youngest will go to nursery soon afterwards. Dad works full time as a Curator at the Royal Academy of Art and Mum works Monday to Thursday for an arts education charity.
We are fairly sociable and have several friends and family who live outside London, so we are away at least one weekend a month. We are usually out a couple of nights a week, either with work or friends, so it would be wonderful if you could commit to babysitting twice a week.
Happy and able to communicate in English, we are looking for someone who is reliable, kind and confident, who enjoys the company of young, active children and who preferably has had experience looking after those of pre-school age.
During the holidays the boys are out of town with their parents or grandparents a fair bit, but when they are in London, we hope you will be keen on taking them to explore London's parks, museums and activities on offer.
We have a cleaner, but you will be expected to ensure the house is tidy at the end of the day, and help with the children's laundry. Pay depends on experience and hours worked, but an estimate would be around £200 a week.
We look forward to welcoming someone into our new home who will be part of our family, and who will enjoy spending time with our boys as much as we do. You will have your own space, with your own bathroom, and we will be only to happy to help introduce you to the city we know and love.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Willa.
