We are looking for a live in mothers help to start at the end of August. We are a happy, friendly family of 5 with 3 children - B7, G6, B3. We are also getting a dog in January! My eldest son has high functioning autism, but he is very chatty and lovely he just needs a bit more routine and structure - hence why we are looking for a native English speaker.
The hours we are looking for are in the morning between 7.45-9.30 / 3.30-6.30 in the term time and more hours in the school holidays + 2 nights babysitting. However, we would appreciate some flexibility! We are lucky enough to have a house on the beach with a swimming pool. It's approximately 1.5 hrs from London and we would love somebody to spend part of the holidays there with us.
My son attends a school about 15 Mins away so it would be handy if you could drive, however there is a bus that goes straight there. My other 2 attend a local private school which is a 10 min walk away. During the morning and after school, you will help me get the kids ready, organise playdates, go to the playground, cook healthy meals, take the dog for a walk and generally help me organise fun activities! You will rarely have all 3 children, however you should feel comfortable looking after all 3 on the odd occasion!
You will also be responsible for doing the children's laundry and ironing (limited to their school uniform) and help me keep their bedrooms and playroom tidy.
As you will have from 9.30-3.30 off each day our other nannies have worked for other families in the day (and earn an extra £150!) or studied.
We are a busy sociable family so this role would suit someone who is pro-active, doesn't mind a bit of noise (!), is independent and is happy to hit the ground running. We also want someone who genuinely loves children and is equally as happy kicking a football around to organising arts and crafts.
We've had au pairs/mothers help who have all stayed for a year so you would be more than welcome to talk to them.
You will have your own bedroom and bathroom on a separate floor to the rest of us. We also have a gym and a cinema room which you are more than welcome to use. It would be handy if you are able to drive (locally) – but am very happy to organize for a lesson to improve your confidence. There will though be plenty of opportunity to travel back home during the holidays.
We live in a lovely part of London in Wandsworth which is about 20 Mins to central London. There are lots of other au pairs and nannies which we can put you in contact with.
We go away most weekends, so there is rarely any saturday night babysitting.
The pay would be from £150 depending on experience.
