Hi, we are a family of 4 and soon to be 5! We have two gorgeous boys and are expecting a new baby daughter any day now. We are looking for a live-in au pair to help us look after our children and to help with all the housework. We are looking for around 35 hours per week Monday to Friday plus up to 2 nights per week babysitting (usually Saturday night plus one other night during the week).
We are a happy family and the 2 boys are happy, playful and very loving children. Our oldest boy is 5 years old and is at school 3 days a week. Our youngest boy is 3 years old and is at nursery 5 days a week. We are looking for someone who loves children (including babies because of the newborn) and will be kind, warm, affectionate and confident with our children, but also able to be firm with them if they misbehave!
The job also involves looking after the house and someone who is very willing to do work around the house within their house. We do have a full-time cleaner once a week but there is still chores to do in between eg cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking for the children etc. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, organized, reliable and kind. We would like someone who will be proactive and organised without needing to be asked. We will give you a timetable to make it easier to settle in at the beginning.
My wife will be on maternity leave and so you will not be completely on your own looking after the children and the house - but you will certainly need to have sole charge at certain times!
We live in a lovely house where you will have your own bedroom with flat screen tv and wifi, a bathroom and toilet shared only with the children, your own sink and bathroom cabinet. We live less than a 10min walk to Finchley Central underground station and on many bus routes (it is 30 minutes to Oxford Street) and near a very busy high street with lots of shops, cafes, amenities and a number of good language schools.
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. We are offering £150 per week plus free food and accommodation. It is essential you have experience and references. We want to find someone who is at least 25 years old or older, and who can commit for at least a year as our boys are very loving and get attached.
