We are a friendly family with two lovely daughters aged 5 years and 8 years respectively looking for a live-in au pair to start beginning of November if possible. We are based in Islington, a popular central area which is also well located for transport links. We have a bi-lingual household as the mother is originally from Germany and the father is an English speaker. A German speaking au-pair would be ideal, but we are open to an au pair from any EU country or from other countries where there would be a legal right to work as an au-pair on a visa, e.g Australia, New Zealand or Canada.
The role involves weekday help in the morning before school and again in the afternoons after school until the parents are home from work. The role is part-time (max 25 hours per week) and you would usually have weekday school hours free as well as evenings and weekends (save for very occasional evening babysitting).
You would have your own separate living space with private bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom, as well as own internet access. "Pocket money" of £90 pds per week is also provided.
We have had two previous successful au-pair stays and we are sure that any new au pair would very much enjoy their year with us. We look forward to receiving your application.
