Kitchen Staff Required
Job Summary
Full-Time staff required to work in the Back of House area at Cake Box.
You will be required to make, fill and decorate fresh cream cakes. There are no artistic skills required as this is a factory-like run operation. You are NOT required to bake any sponge - simply fill, and decorate.
Full training will be given, but it would be helpful if you have some previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
Fast pace, but the friendly and happy environment to work in.
Responsibilities and Duties

Front of House staff
Job Summary
Full-Time staff required ONLY - Full Training Given.
You will be required to greet and deal with customers requests with a smile. Serve customers and take payments using the cash register and card machine. We are looking for lively and energetic individuals who can serve with a smile.
Full training will be given, but it would be helpful if you have some previous experience working in a retail environment.
Fast pace, but a friendly and happy environment to work in.
We pay minimum wage to all new trainee front of house personnel.
Wages are paid 4-weekly directly into your bank account.
Responsibilities and Duties
Mission: To fulfil the public demand for our products whilst maintaining the Brand image and Values.
Scheduled tasks:

Opening and closing checks.
Keep shop clean and presentable -including shop front window, floor counter, fridges, and end of day floor mopping.
Daily ensuring the CCTV is connected to internet and functioning – working with owners to restore in case of breakdown.
Cashing up Till and card machine at the end of the day. Dealing with the daily cash takings.
Agreeing and distributing weekly FOH staff attendance Rota.
Any other task scheduled by the Management.

Responsibilities:

To understand own duties and duties of BOH staff, and to work with others, respectfully and cheerfully.
Ensure a FULL display, calling for cakes and slices as and when they need replacing.
Delivering that promised exceptional customer service with a smile.
Serving customers from display efficiently- boxing cakes and slices correctly.
Keeping a check on the quality of cakes leaving the shop- liaising with decorators and Franchise owners where required.
Taking orders from customers in person- efficiently and accurately.
Printing online orders, and placing in the diary or taking to the kitchen if for the same or next day.
Dealing with collections- efficiently finding, showing cakes, warning customers about dark colouring and advice on carrying their cake home.
Dealing professionally with Complaints to a satisfactory outcome.
Taking payments, correctly and accurately using the till, card machine. Ensuring enough Change in till at all times. Maintaining Till rolls and card machine roll stocks.
Maintain display stock of candles and balloons, and pre-packed cake items and their display.
Making up, and storing, slice and cake boxes under the counter.
Print pictures on an edible artist for orders as required by the decorators.
Dealing with all emails including those from HO and from customers.
Ensuring FOH notices have been put up and BOH notices have been given to decorators if they arrive by email.
Dealing with any other shop operation issues that arise from day to day.
Look after training needs of new staff. To report to Manager of any staff behaviour issues. Recording any disciplinary action.
Recordkeeping of staff attendance to be overseen and kept up to date.

Job Summary
This role involves running our store successfully working on the shop floor, with customers and staff. They are responsible for ensuring their staff gives great customer service as well as performing the duties required by the franchise owners and Head Office.
Typical responsibilities of the job include:

Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
Overseeing pricing and stock control
Managing, motivating, recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff.
Organising rotas and working kitchen manage.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Ensuring compliance with Environmental Health requirement.
Preparing promotional materials and displays.
Liaising with head office

Salary
Commensurate with experience. Starting at £17,000 p.a. For a trainee, to be reviewed after 1 month and then yearly thereafter.
Hours:
Full Time 5-6 days/week, including bank holidays and weekends.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with customer service experience to step up to a management role as training will be given.
