Sous Chef – Chesterfield
We are now looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join an exciting Kitchen team of 20 motivated staff led by our Executive Chef, Nathan Hindmarsh.
The main responsibilities of the Sous Chef include:
• Overseeing the daily operation of the kitchen
• Ensuring that all kitchen stations deliver to the required standard with the support of the Executive Head Chef
• Managing a team of twenty people
• Assisting the Executive Head Chef with financial planning and budgeting
• Ensuring that health and safety, food hygiene and fire prevention regulations are adhered to
• Assisting in food ordering, purchasing and rotating
• Training and developing staff
The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef position should:
• Have previous experience in a similar role in a four or five star hotel or fine dining restaurant
• Have excellent leadership and communication skills
• Be able to work well under pressure
• Have a good level of English
• Have a friendly, flexible and professional attitude
• Have knowledge of pastry preparation
