We are looking for an ambitious, creative and enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join our small team at The Havelock Tavern: one of the first Gastro Pubs in London.
Working alongside the Head Chef, the successful candidate will help contribute dish ideas to our twice daily changing menu. A love of all aspects of food is essential – over and above previous experience. They will also be in charge of running the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.
We make almost everything from scratch in house on a daily basis (bread, stocks, ice cream – even chips!) so the position is perfect for someone hoping to practice and Hone their skills in all aspects of kitchen work (working all sections, butchery, pastry, creating menus, managing stock, logistics, costing, ordering etc).
The food served draws influence from all over the world but is always inherently seasonal and interesting. We endeavour to serve excellent quality food simply and in a laid-back environment.
Essential:
Previous kitchen experience

Understanding of HACCP
Desirable:
Previous Gastro Pub experience
