We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and organized Head Chef to open an exciting independent restaurant in Notting Hill, London.
184 Is a beautifully designed 80-cover restaurant just off Portobello Rd Market, in a great location. You will have the chance to make your mark as Head Chef and you will be working in a new kitchen.
We are looking for a chef with real passion for cooking as well as skill and experience. The right candidate will appreciate using great seasonal ingredients and will be up to date with current cooking trends. The menu at 184 is ‘green and grill’ This means we will be serving inspired plant-based dishes as well as meat and fish from the Robata Grill. The general style is modern British, incorporating plenty of international ingredients and flavours.
The main role of the Head Chef will be turning out consistently delicious food. We are looking for someone with great energy and drive as well as strong leadership and people management skills. We want a happy kitchen!
The Head chef will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen management, working closely with the General Manager and support team.
Head Chef duties will include:

Menu planning and costing sheets
Running service and leading by example
Maintaining high consistency standards
Food ordering, stock management, supplier relations and invoices.
Maintaining a minimum of 70% General Practitioner on food sales.
Hiring, team training and development, rotas, personnel files.
Due diligence: maintaining Food Safety and HACCP records, Maintenance of kitchen and equipment.
