This is a great opportunity to have a massive influence over a blank canvas business, working with the owner to design and create not only the pub’s look and feel, but also food menus and drink range.
An extremely large, independent pub in North London, 15 minutes north of Kings Cross on the Picadilly line. Due to be beautifully refurbished with a large new garden and an art deco charm. The pub will offer a large selection of locally sourced craft beer alongside a fresh and vibrant grill menu. With 160 internal covers, outside space and an open kitchen, this is a site suitable for a GM with a minimum of three years experience in a large food focused site taking at least £20k net.
You are confident in all aspects of running and maintaining a successful pub. Your passion for food and great service is evident in the experience you bring to your team and guests.
You’re an inspiring individual who thrives on developing people and self-development. You will work closely with the Head Chef to create a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team. You’re a skilled recruiter, a Stickler for standards and know your bottom line.
You will…
- Have knowledge of and passion for craft beer
- Know and understand the seasonality of food
- Have an extreme attention to detail, and a love of high standards
- Hold regular team meetings and training sessions, ensuring the whole team are a part of, and understand the big and small goals every day
- Good local community involvement skills
- Be a natural marketer, with the ability to grow the business and build sales
- Have experience of using restaurant booking systems
- Have a strong financial background, running and influencing a P and L.
- Convert turnover into profit, hitting wage, food and liquor targets weekly
- Implement improvement both in your pub, and in the company
- As a General Manager you will receive excellent support, but have a huge freedom to make your mark on this exciting business.

Salary = £32-38k (negotiable) plus competitive bonus scheme, employee benefits scheme, live-out
