Artist Residence is an eccentric bunch of fun and boutique hotels restaurants and bars, located in London, Brighton, Cornwall and Oxfordshire. As our operation is growing we are looking for a Finance Assistant.
Our finance manager, Mario, is looking for a finance assistant to help with some of the following:
- Reconciliation of supplier statements/invoices.
- Ensuring all invoices are inputed in Xero.
- Follow up/resolve any query from suppliers.
- Sales reconciliation
- Reconciliation of Hotel and F and B; payments.
- Reconciliation of "House accounts" and "Voids/Comps"
- Maintaining all necessary income reports and journals by accurately auditing the daily revenues across the group.
- Assisting with set up and maintenance of all BOH systems.
- Maintaining all necessary files and registers for the finance department.
- Chargebacks
- Assisting in the preparation of month end reconciliation and in the final monthly closing of the accounts system.
- Reconciliation between FOH system and Accounting system.
- Ad hoc duties as requested by the finance manager.
- Credit card/cash reconciliation
- Address any issue with the General Manager and communicate with Directors and Finance Manager.
- Help the Finance Manager to implement best practice policies within the company.

What are the core skills we are looking for:

- Xero and Receipt Bank as accounting system knowledge (would be an advantage but not essential)
- Expert in the Office suite (mainly Word and Excel)
