London’s first Japanese cafe and matcha bar, Tombo in South Kensington is an established business that prides itself on creating healthy high quality food in a welcoming casual setting. Alongside the restaurant which offers lunch, tea and dinner, we have recently launched our own award winning tea brand (Tombo Tea).
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced waiter/waitress to join our friendly team. The position’s primary objective is to be a key member in helping run the daily operations of the restaurant floor. Our aim is to deliver excellent efficient service to our customers in a relaxed approachable manner. Your duties include but may not be limited to:
Welcoming customers, taking orders and serving food
Table management
Making our unique teas and drinks (barista skills beneficial but not essential)
Useful but not essential to have a basic understanding of Japanese food and culture
The Candidate
At least 1 year’s experience working in the hospitality industry preferably in a busy cafe style restaurant
Well organised and efficient
Approachable friendly personality with a passion for food and customer service
Good communication skills
