Awaiting Eyes Foundation is a U.K registered charity (No: 1117222) that helps orphan children overseas by providing them with basic necessities.
We are looking for enthusiastic EVENTS ASSISTANT, Volunteer
The job will consist of:
• Assisting with the day to day co-ordination and planning of the event programme including telephone answering, responding to email enquiries, researching suppliers, negotiating contracts and paying invoices
• Supporting the Arts and Events Officer to prepare management plans and safety documentation
• Preparing and distribute publicity materials such as press releases, posters, banners
• Attending events to assist with the set-up, delivery and breakdown
• Supervision of defined aspects of an event to manage safety and customer service
• Producing and undertake customer satisfaction surveys, analysing data and produce evaluation reports
• MANDATORY FUNDRAISING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK
OFFICE TIME: 9AM TO 5PM, MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
NO PREVIOUS experience IS REQUIRED AS FULL TRAINING WOULD BE PROVIDED.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VOLUNTARY UNPAID ROLE.
INITIAL COMMITMENT OF 3 DAYS A WEEK FOR THE FIRST 2 MONTHS, THERE AFTER - 2 DAYS A WEEK (FLEXIBLE).
In return, volunteers often gain experience of an office environment, and learn new skills or develop existing ones.
We offer excellent references after successful completion of project work
